Journey of a Sprite v0.2 - New Features


Gotta some news!! 

Now with Journey of a Sprite Version 0.2 the full game just got some new features (YEAH!)

New & Updated :

  • Life System
  • Knock back
  • Level Up

Here a quick video with all working together 

Now let's have some explanations

Life System

Now when hitted the player will lose healthy points,  each half hearth it's equal 50 HP.

When it reachs 0 you die.

Knock back

Both you and enemies now has a knock back system when hitted, if there isn't a collider in the way,  you / enemie will go 16px back.

I have the knock back animation for the player but I haven't implemented yet.

Level Up

You start at level 1 and when reaching 400xp you will go to level 2 and gain some status upgrades and they are:

- You heal 100 HP

- If you are in a odd level your sword will gain +5 damage and -2.5 cooldown

To reach level 3 you will need 800xp (The math is level * 400)

I wanna add more status but haven't thought about what will they be, so any suggestion will be valuable

Also, what can I change in the level up screen? 

So what you think about this new features? 
Are they good? 
What can I do to improve them?

Currently Working on :

  • Dodge Roll Animation and System
  • Implement knock back animation
  • Heal System
